Addison Oaks Superstar at Linamia JH CD RA WC CGC (Vega)

Vega is a very affectionate girl with a strong desire to please. She is a certified therapy dog with Healing Paws of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She is small and has been kept slim for field training , so I have not shown her much. She is well-balanced, with the proportion of leg described in the standard and good angles, front and rear, allowing her to move effortlessly. Her sweet face speaks for itself in the head photograph. With a little more size, she could be competitive in the show ring. She is a little longer in the body than I’d like, and I’d like a harsher coat and a better wrapped tail.

In the field, she is one of the best markers I’ve had and really powers out to her birds. She got her JH in 2011, overcoming an initial reluctance to commit herself to long water marks. She is now doing doubles and learning to handle. We hope to be running in SH tests next summer. Her litter brother Chevy already has his MH. Vega got a perfect score of 100 in her first Rally Novice attempt, followed by a 99 the next day and 89 in the middle of a very loud thunderstorm. She quickly added the RA with some scores of 95 and higher. She got her first CD leg at the LRC National Specialty with a score of 190 and third place despite having only two weekends to do obedience training. Oh, and she passed the JH test, too. She finished her CD title in her next two trials.
Vega entered three obedience trials in the fall of 2015 and has two CDX legs. Currently she is recovering from cruciate ligament surgery from an injury sustained soon after she earned that second leg.
