Because he is a carrier for PRA (Optigen B), Dash is available to a pet home if neutered. If sold for breeding it will only be to someone who routinely does Optigen testing on their girls and requires Optigen testing for outside breedings. He is recommended for an active home and has good potential as an obedience/rally dog and for light hunting. Since I live in the middle of large fields, my dogs go for walks on my property off lead and stay with me. Dash, however, has a tendency to run away to play with neighbor dogs. Although he does come home on his own (if I don't find him first), I will only place him in a situation in which this behavioral trait will not endanger him or cause problems for the new owners.
